We've lived here for 5 whole months already and have made some wonderful friends. We especially love the mountains here...something we didn't really have in Texas. This family was great to work with...they are super photogenic and fun! Little Ms. LOVES getting her picture taken, Little Mr. DOES NOT (I don't know about you, but I don't know any 6 year old boys that do), and Older brother is as GOOD as you get...so polite too. I especially love. love. the kiddos' eyes! Their eyes are very bright and big and each pair has a different story to tell. Hope you enjoy these pics as much as I do :)

I had such a wonderful time doing this session with this wonderful family...they're all so photogenic and so nice...I couldn't have worked with better people! They chose a country theme...and what better place to do these pics than in the Texas Bluebonnets!...Oh, how I will miss the Bluebonnets...guess I'll have to take some seeds with me to NM!

It's time to start posting again...I've done many sessions since October...it's just been a bit busy around here....below are just a few of the reasons :)

Oh, did I mention that I LOVE Spring!?! It might have something to do with me being born in the Spring or all of the flowers and pleasant weather...I don't know for sure, but I do know that I am ready to do more photo-shoots in beautiful Texas!

Little Miss C.

This photo-shoot was such a delight! The weather was perfect and sweet little Miss C. slept through the whole shoot. We decided to head outdoors because the skies were overcast—and overcast skies are perfect for an outdoor photo-shoot!—Well, the sun decided to show up shortly into our photo-shoot…but we found shade and everything went well…so well, that big brother C. sweetly held his little sister and happily smiled for the camera—actually my super funny and helpful 4 year old stood next to me and made silly sounds and faces that really made Cody laugh! So, my beautiful sister Christina and her husband came for a week and visited us in August! Just before they came, they found out that they're having a wonderful baby boy! And so, we did a sweet little pregnancy photo-shoot while they were here. It was really special to see my younger sister's excitement and joy as we did this session to celebrate her as a new soon-to-be mother and Peter as a new soon-to-be father. Their new soon-to-be little one is already adored and loved by so so many. I'm so excited and just can't wait to hold him for the first time in December when he will be born. I just know they'll be awesome parents!

Little 10 day old David is so blessed to have so many people who love and cherish him. His mother is so sweet and beautiful. These pictures were a delight to capture...David was so good...he slept most of the time...I was lucky to get one shot where he had his eyes open! David is so pure; his spirit is sweet and strong; he is indeed straight from the presence of our Father in Heaven; David is a wonderful blessing.

Ms. L. is a very pretty, energetic, witty, and fun girl! We were visiting some family and I asked Ms. L. if she would like to do some pictures and she happily agreed (although she wanted to get back to the BYU football game asap)! It was a very overcast and rainy day...(so we stayed under the awnings) yet, overcast skies offer some of the best lighting for photographers. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek of your portraits.

My good friend just had the most adorable boy twins ever! When they were born one was just under 6 lbs and the other was just over 6 lbs--that's 12 pounds of baby! What healthy strapping boys! Elizabeth is one of the best moms I know; she's a great example to me of kindness and patience. Her older 4 children are so helpful and love their new brothers so much. In the middle of this photo-shoot a blue and black dragonfly greeted us with its striking beauty! It would fly around a bit and come back to this reed...maybe it was getting some water from it...I don't really know...but we were truly amazed!

Luke was such a good sport for me today! I literally took hundreds of pictures of him this afternoon. But Luke didn't seem to mind at all because it was as much as an adventure for him as it was a treasure hunt for me. He got to explore nature and he found a snail, a huge spider web under the bridge, flowers (he picked a couple for me), and of course the routine rocks and sticks. I have a few families interested in family portraits so I decided to scan the Hutto area to see what it has to offer. Thankfully, I've found quite a bit! This is exciting for me! Christina and Peter were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 18th, 2008. What a beautiful couple they are! Their photographer, Anne Pearson, was so gracious and let me follow them around so that I could practice using my new D-SLR (that Anne happened to sell to me)! This was a lot of fun for me!

Grandma Lu and Grandpa brought my new SLR camera down from Utah when they came to visit for Ezra's birthday. After church we all went to a pretty park and we all had a bit of fun playing with the boys and taking their pictures!

Here is my sweet Ezra--something caught his attention over there!

Look at that head of hair! Ezra is about 10 1/2 months old here. I can't believe he'll be 1 year old in a little more than a week! His hair is slowly turning blonder and it is losing some of its orange tint now.
